A College Admissions Strategy Built Around the Student You Actually Are — Not a Template
Individualized consulting for students applying to the most selective universities in the country.
A Track Record Built Around Individual Students, Not a System
Since 2018, I've worked one-on-one with students admitted to Georgetown, Northwestern, Duke, Cornell, Yale, UCLA, and UC Berkeley. No team, no associates — every student works with me directly, start to finish.
- Deep individualization. No templates — every strategy is built from your student's real history and voice.
- Multi-year relationships. The strongest outcomes start sophomore or junior year, not senior fall.
- An ethical, defensible process. Nothing that could put an admission at risk later.
Students I've worked with have attended:
Each acceptance came from a different student, a different story — never the same essay with the names swapped out.
- B.S., Mathematics & Economics — Northwestern University
- Working one-on-one with students since 2018
- No team — every student works directly with me, start to finish
- An ethical, defensible process built to hold up to scrutiny
Eight Years Across Korea's Top Consulting Institutions
Before founding Veritas, I worked across 14 leading academic consulting institutions and hagwons as an academic coordinator, education consultant, and advisor — 8 years of hands-on work on university transfers, extracurricular planning, essay development, and IB/AP curriculum coordination.
The Story Has to Exist Before the Essay Can Be Written
Most families arrive senior year, once the activity list is already fixed. I start earlier when I can — building the story before we write a word.
Discovering the Theme
One coherent thread, not a list of accomplishments — sharpened until it's memorable.
Architecting the Extracurricular Portfolio
Real activities built around the theme — founded, launched, owned. Never padding.
Building Professional & Academic Networks
Real introductions to faculty, attorneys, and researchers — turned into real mentorships.
Supporting Original Research & Legitimate Publication
Original research guided toward selective, recognized publications — never pay-to-publish journals.
Developing Real Passion Projects
Something built from nothing, over a year or more — not a club joined.
Strategic Competition & Recognition
Selective recognition, not a long list of minor awards.
Bringing It All Together
Essays, activities, and recommendations, synthesized into one memorable story.
Why This Matters More Than Test Scores
Grades and scores are table stakes. What makes a file unforgettable is one authentic identity, built over time.
Your Voice, Sharpened — Not Replaced
Most students don't get in because they lack accomplishments. They fail because those accomplishments never land on the page. My work closes that gap.
Individualized, Per-School Research
Every school gets its own research — values, trends, what that committee actually wants.
A Structured Brainstorming Architecture
Guided questions surface the real moments and voice an essay needs.
Multi-Round Essay Development
Structured drafts and revisions, from the student's own material, until it's genuinely theirs.
Strategic Activities List Development
Reordered so the most distinctive details land first, for each school's review.
Test Strategy, Integrated
Testing built into the overall timeline — right test, right schools, test-optional factored in.
Coordinated Deadlines, Every System
Common App, portals, and the UC system — one calendar, real buffer.
Why Authenticity Is the Whole Strategy
AI-generated and templated essays are easy for admissions officers to spot — and a fast-growing cause of rejection. Mine are built from the student's own voice, every time.
Common Questions
How much does this cost?
Every engagement is scoped to the student — a senior needing essay support looks nothing like a sophomore starting a multi-year plan. Pricing is discussed on the free consultation, once I understand what's actually needed.
When should we start?
As early as freshman or sophomore year, ideally — but I work with students at any stage, including seniors already mid-application.
Do you guarantee admission?
No ethical consultant can, and I won't claim to. What I can promise is a process built around your student's real story, not a template.
Do you write the essays?
No. I develop your student's own material through structured brainstorming and revision — the essay has to sound like them, not me.
Remote or in-person?
Remote, worldwide — with in-person sessions available in Seoul, South Korea.
Do you work with current college students?
Yes — I also work with college freshmen and sophomores building transfer applications, using the same individualized approach.
The Work Starts Whenever You're Ready — The Earlier, the Better
The strongest applications aren't assembled in a few months. They're built over years, through a story that develops honestly, one real decision at a time. I start with students as early as freshman or sophomore year when possible — but I meet every student wherever they currently are in the process.
If you're ready to build something real, let's talk.
